Situated just outside Myrtleford in the beautiful Alpine Valleys region of N.E. Victoria.

FAVOURITE PLACE

The Alpine Valleys is characterised by mountains, poplar trees and historic tobacco drying kilns, which was the primary industry of the region.

These images feature symbolically on the Ferraro Wines label, which represents the view from the Ferraro property.

STARTING FROM SCRATCH

Ferraro Wines is owned and operated by Myrtleford born and bred locals Tony and Josie Ferraro.

It was Tony’s parents Francesco and Carmela Ferraro who first planted 5 acres of vines in Merriang just outside Myrtleford in the late 1960’s. Tony’s parents grew grapes for their fellow Italian community who had made their home in Myrtleford and brought with them their love of winemaking and enjoying wine.

Continuing a family tradition of grape growing and wine making for over 50 years, Tony and Josie planted their own vines in 1997 and have established a small boutique winery.

OUR WINES

Tony and Josie grow grapes for many wineries in the district as well as for their own Ferraro label.

The varieties grown on their property are Merlot, Sangiovese, Barbera, Nebbiolo, Sauvignon Blanc and Vermentino.

Tony passionately makes wine for the Ferraro label at their Clancy Lane property from the Merlot, Sangiovese, Barbera, Nebbiolo, Vermentino and Rosé varieties.
